Simon Race
Head Professional
Simon joined Walton Heath in August 2022 as the Club's 5th Head Professional.
He has 25 Years experience in the Golf industry, and counts Royal Liverpool, Sea Island, Carnoustie and Meltham.
Simon's passion in coaching is the putting and mental side of the game as he truly believes this is an area we can all improve and save shots on.
Ben Light
PGA Advanced Professional
Ben joined Walton Heath in November 2019 and has over 8 years of experience in the golf industry.
Ben's focus is on the retail and golf day experience at Walton Heath.
Ben's coaching is player-focused and evidence-based using TrackMan in all lessons. His coaching is focused on maximising potential and building confidence, in a simple and easy to understand manner.
Ben is a TaylorMade Ambassador and loves getting out to play whenever possible.
Joanne Taylor
PGA Advanced Professional
Jo joined Walton Heath in September 2020 and has over 15 years of experience in the golf industry. She has experience at Stoke by Nayland, North Berwick, The Carnegie Club at Skibo Castle and Tyrells Wood.
Jo's focus is on the Women's Academy and Schools Outreach programme at Walton Heath.
Jo has completed an MSc in Sports Coaching and the ASQ Level 3 Certificate in Golf Coaching, and is a Golf Monthly Top 50 coach.
Jo works with players of all ages and abilities with a focus on creating an efficient and repeatable swing. She adapts her coaching style to suit the individual, meaning your lesson is always tailored to you.
Josh Rowles
PGA Professional
Josh recently joined the Team from Aspley Guise and Woburn Sands Golf Club where he has just completed his PGA Qualifications. He was also the recipient of the Titleist PGA Trainee of the Year award for 2024 after graduating from the University of Birmingham.
He is passionate about looking after Members, coaching and custom fitting.
